As we move toward reopening our campus and gathering together for worship on June 7, we wanted you to know what you can expect when you show up at Crosswind Church on Sunday morning.

WE ARE ADDING AN ADDITIONAL SERVICE— In order to limit the number of people in the room and allow for proper social distancing, we are adding an 8:15am service along with the 9:30am and 11:00am service.

NO FOOD— I know it’s a bummer, but for now we will not be serving coffee or donuts.

NO CHILDREN’S PROGRAMMING— It’s hard enough to get middle aged men and women to respect some sort of social distancing, much less a toddler. It is our hope to have Children’s Ministry up and running soon, but for now we will have everyone in the auditorium together for worship.

WE WILL HAVE RESOURCES FOR YOUR CHILDREN— Our June grab bags will be available for you to pick up at the church on June 7, and as long as your children are in the service we will also provide them with additional materials to keep them occupied. Feel free to pick up either at the donut station.

THE SERVICE WILL BE A LITTLE BIT SHORTER— Because of the safety measures that are being put in place (and potentially restless kiddos), we needed to increase the time in between services. Each service will last between 50-55 minutes.

SANITIZING IN BETWEEN SERVICES— Our guest services team and additional volunteers will be working to sanitize the auditorium, foyer, and bathrooms in between each service. We want the space you walk into to be clean and safe.

HAND SANITIZING STATIONS— There will be easy to locate hand sanitizing stations located in the foyer and the auditorium.

MASKS— We are not requiring you to wear a mask, but masks will be available should you desire to have one. Our staff will wear masks when not on stage.

Now that you know a little about what to expect, we would like to share with you some ways that you can help us keep everyone safe. Remember, loving your neighbor means meeting them at their level. Just because you aren’t worried about infection, doesn’t mean that the person next to you isn’t.

IF YOU ARE SICK, SYMPTOMATIC, OR AT RISK: STAY HOME— We will continue to offer online services forever, join us there and worship with us from home until you feel better.

PRACTICE GOOD HYGIENE— Cover sneezes and coughs with a tissue or the crook of your elbow, wash your hands frequently, use the hand sanitizing stations.

RSVP— Because we want to limit the capacity of our auditorium to allow proper social distancing, we are asking you to let us know which service you and your family are going to. Here are the links to do so:

8:15am: https://crosswindchurch.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/431140

9:30am: https://crosswindchurch.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/431148

11:00am: https://crosswindchurch.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/431150

SOCIALLY DISTANCE YOURSELF— We will not be removing any chairs from the auditorium. We are asking you to responsibly socially distance yourself from the next family or individual. Remember, though you may not be concerned with infection, but the person you just sat down next to may be.

CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF— We will have crews sanitizing between services, the less trash they have to pick up, the better.

SOCIALIZE IN THE PARKING LOT— We know you’ve missed each other, we’ve missed you too! However in order to properly sanitize and clean for the next service we need everyone to make their way to the parking lot for conversations, laughs and storytelling.

In Romans 13:19, Paul pleads to the church, “Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.” Remember, you may not be concerned with COVID-19, but there are others that are. As followers of Jesus Christ we are called to submit to each other. When we are wiling to put our brothers and sisters ahead of ourselves, then God is glorified!

I look forward to seeing you again soon.
